Work-related hearing loss is a preventable workplace injury/illness, yet it is one of the most common. Through the appropriate use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, separating workers from noisy equipment or processes as much as possible and through “buy quiet” programs, employers can reduce the risk of hearing loss for workers.
