OSHA Cites Chicago Contractor for Fifth Time in 5 Years
OSHA claims a Chicago-area excavation company exposed workers to the dangers of trench cave-ins while installing a water line at a Chicago home.
OSHA once again has cited G Plumbing LLC of Chicago and fined the company $69,000 for one willful and one repeated safety violation. This is the fifth time the company has been cited since 2012.
This time, OSHA inspectors claim the company did not providing cave-in protection or a safe means of exit for employees installing a water line in a trench more than 6 feet deep.
