    Thanksgiving might be over, but the holidays have just begun. The American Heart Association has released recommendations for seasonal, healthy foods that will keep your celebrations merry and your heart filled with joy, not cholesterol.

    “Half of a meal should comprise fruits and vegetables that consist of a variety of colors,” said Vilma Andari, a spokeswoman for the American Heart Association in a statement. “The other two quarters should be whole grains and healthy proteins.”
